Half Full Bright Ale

I had Bright Ale on tap at Porky's Cafe in Shelton.  It's lemony and hoppy but I thought the taste was odd and definitely a little detergent-like; perhaps the combination of lemon and bitter hops.  It was a little off putting but drinkable.

Texas Exile

It's remarkable how well coffee and beer mesh together.  Dark toasted malts and roasty coffee beans to go together like they were meant to be.  Brash combines the two very well in Texas Exile - an ale brewed with coffee.

Birra Etrusca Bronze

It's not surprising  but the taste is unlike any other beer and very difficult to explain.  Birra Etrusca Bronze is something to be experienced.

Maximus Ale

I haven't met a Lagunitas brew I haven't liked. When I see a Lagunitas beer I haven't tried I'll snatch up a bottle or two and give it a go knowing I won't be disappointed. They've made me happy again with Maximus Ale.

Willibrew Guest Taps

My recommendation is that if you're visiting Willimantic Brewing Company for the first time that you focus on their house brews.  They are always fresh and consistently good. You won't be disappointed.  But once you've tried them all, there is invariably a number of good brews on the guest taps.

Boulder Beer Buffalo Gold

I received this bottle as a gift.  I don't know if it's a beer I would have selected for myself.  That is, if I saw it on the shelf at my beer store, I wouldn't have picked it up on impulse.  But after trying it, I would definitely grab a bottle or two of Buffalo Gold. It's a surprisingly tasty beer!

RJ Rocker Fish Paralyzer

Cool name, fun label, good beer.

Sometimes I'm attracted to a beer specifically because it has a cool name or a creative label.  I picked up Fish Paralyzer because of both.  And, there's the added bonus of a fun little tale on the back of the label.
