Ready to try something new

Hi everyone,
My first blog here. I am a beer lover like a lot of people here, but would like to expand my beer tasting experience. I have really only drank the usual bar tap beer, coors, bud, miller, etc.. Where I live we just had a beer store open that sells foreign, and exotic beers in 6pks or 1 bottle, or mix in match. So give me an idea and I will try, can't wait.
I also write about how to…

The Magical Pumpkin

Autumn is here! The warm lazy breeze of summer is pushed away by cooler winds that smell of hot chocolate and apple pie. The leaves are turning orange and slowly falling off the branches. Children are once again burying themselves in a pile of dry leaves to scare off the the neighbors. Above all..…

Good Hop Harvest this year

Had to get up at stupid o'clock to go to work this morning, I know this

because Farming

Today
came on the radio, interesting though because there was a

piece on this year's hop harvest, apparently it's been a good one. I

First Beer Blog ever: "Jack Callaghan's Ale House"

DARN.. If I had known about beer blogging earlier, I would have shared to you the 300+ beers that I have tried in the past several years (although.. compared to those who have tried more than 2,000 beers already, I consider myself an amateur.) Unfortunately, it would be INSANE for me to even try… Continue

Craft Beer Day

Well I am trying to start a new Holiday so to speak.

I know most of us drink Craft Beer on a regular basis but I want to make Sept 19th the first official craft beer day. It is a day when all are encouraged to drink a craft brew.

My goal is for this event to grow and to be on this day ever year regardless of the day of the week it falls on. In years to come I hope to grow this day with craft beer specials at bars across the country. Happy hours on this day will no longer… Continue

Beer and Football, yes!

Beer and football. It goes together like peanut butter and jelly…like rosemary and thyme… like flies on shit or like rama lama lama ke ding a de dinga a dong. Ya’ know, like the Superbowl and the Detroit Lions – just kidding on that last one.

Football season has officially started and what better reason to increase your beer consumption? Sure, it might be the constant Coors Light and Miller Light (I think I just threw up in my mouth a little) commercials airing as MillerCoors is… Continue
