Tell us about yourself!
I've been interested in wine for a while now. In the last few years I've discovered that beer has really begun to emerge as a true craft drink. I enjoy tasting and studying as much as I can about beer and wine. I live in Chicago and our craft brewery scene has exploded in an amazing way. I'm proud to be part of it.
How did you get started as a beer blogger?
It's just such an exciting time in the world of craft beer. In the last few years, the choices for beer have gotten more diverse and the product has just gotten so much tastier. I wanted a format to share my enthusiasm and hopefully bring others into the fold.
I am interested in
collaboration, guest posting, meetups, trading links, recieving advice

Giving Thanks for Chicago Beer

Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday of the year.  Yes, of course, I love the sparkling lights and candy cane lanes of Christmas.  And yeah, I may be over twelve, but I still look forward to blowing out those candles on my birthday apple pie (What?  Like that doesn't sound utterly amazing once you think about it.)  But Thanksgiving will always hold a special place in my heart as a perfect sort of holiday.  It seems to me that every other day of the year we obsess over the things we…

New Glarus Brewing's Berliner Weiss

Never say never.  Yes, its an awesome Bond flick. Also apparently, a what I can only assume is an unbearable, Justin Beiber "song".  And yeah, I put the word song in quotation marks. Just because it has systematically arranged letters set to random musical notes doesn't necessarily make it a song.  (Please don't mention the quotation marks thing on Twitter.  I understand that Beiber owns all of Twitter.)  But more than an excuse to watch Sean Connery being his suave, Scottish self,…

Deep Ellum Brewing's IPA

I've never been to Texas.  In fact, if you don't count countless trips to Las Vegas or middle of the night stop overs at various airports, my experience with all things Southwestern is woefully lacking.  I would love to take a trip to check out Austin's food and band scene.  And who doesn't want to visit The Alamo just so when someone tells you to remember it, you can?  But as of today, right now, my basic knowledge of Texas is limited to some weird mix mash of …

North Coast Brewing's Pranqster Belgian Golden Ale

There's something rather right with the world when I can honestly say that my favorite beer garden is the one located just beyond by own back porch.  Yes, I have predatory hibiscus plants and ragweed is a total bitch.  But on a mild late Spring evening, the kind when the air is slightly crisp with a lingering memory of snow, yet the late setting sun is still doing ins what it can to warm the blood, a reasonable person (and contrary to popular opinion, I do mean me) couldn't really…
