I recently started a beer blog. Nothing too fancy, just writing about my beer experiences in Chicago. Living in the Windy City is awesome right now with numerous killer breweries and many more on the way.
How did you get started as a beer blogger?
My husband suggested it. We often find ourselves enjoying and talking about good beer. My husband home brews (as many people do) and the idea popped in his head. We had a baby 11 months ago and I needed a creative outlet that was mine and didn't really revolve around my family. I'm still slightly struggling to find time to write, but it's coming along.
Hello, welcome to Beer Bloggers Unite. This is a great site to network with craft beer lovers. I blog with my buddies here: http://beerbloggingbuddies.blogspot.com. We are three in-experienced beer experts. Tell us about yourself.
Thanks for the warm welcome, Marcus. I too am an "in-experienced" beer expert. I am also a novice blogger. My name is Heather Rabbitt and I live in Chicago, IL where craft beer has become an amazing fixture and continues to grow. My blog is http://agirlandagrower.com. I started blogging as sort of a personal outlet. My husband and I are lovers of good, craft beer. We are also parents of a 1 year old, so I decided I needed something to do that wasn't all about parenting and focused on something else I enjoy. I'm afraid I haven't been as devoted to blogging as I would like, but I'm hoping to change that soon.
